Ziang Liu, CS PhD @ Brown University

I design interpretable, unsupervised machine-learning and visualization methods that uncover structure in high-dimensional scientific data.

I love graphics, machine learning and unravelling the secret of nature.

Research

Global Ecosystem Dynamics Investigation

Ecosystem structure influences aboveground biomass storage, influences the global carbon cycle, and supports the provision of food and habitats for humans and other species.

I develop methods for GEDI data to quantify ecosystem structure variability.

Diffusion MRI

Brain microstructure is challenging to characterize due to the complexity of MRI signals and the delicate structure of brain tissues.

I study the complate profile of MRI signals to extract features of microstrutures for segmentaion and leision detection.
